Westwood Village – Final Paving Update – 10/27 Activities

To All Owners and Residents –

Thank you for your cooperation last week as we worked through the paving project.  There is one final upcoming phase as follows:

  • On Tuesday, October 27th, weather-permitting, speed bumps will be restored throughout the community.  This includes one speed bump near the handicap parking spots along the back of Northern Neck Drive.  For Tuesday, please keep vehicles free of parking spaces 104, 105, 106, 190 and 191.  All vehicles should be removed from those spots no later than 6:30am.
  • On Tuesday, October 27th, weather-permitting, 3 speed bumps will be restored on Ashgrove House Lane.

Please follow all directions by the contractor to navigate partial road closures.  Any failure to follow contractor instructions that results in damage to in-process or new speed bumps will be assessed back to the responsible resident/owner.

Additionally, please note that we have seen an increase in the use of expired resident parking permits and visitor hangtags as well as residents and/or their visitors parking in incorrect reserved parking spots.  While we suspended certain rules related to shared visitor parking and unreserved parking spots during the paving work, ALL parking rules are in full effect at this time.  Therefore:

  • Any residents parking in the 10 shared visitor spaces at the front of property using resident permits will be towed.  Vehicles with visitor hangtags only are allowed to park in those shared visitor spaces for a short duration.  Please go to the website if you need a reminder of the rules for those parking spaces.
  • Any vehicles with expired permits/hangtags will be towed.
  • If you have a new vehicle, it is fine to use your visitor tag to park in your reserved parking space for a short period of time.  However, you must re-register all vehicles on property and set up an appointment with Capitol Management to get new permits.
  • If you have a rental vehicle on property while your car is being serviced, it is fine to use your visitor hangtag to park in your reserved parking space or unreserved spaces on property.
  • A resident should NEVER park in another resident’s reserved parking space without permission.  Residents/owners should request a tow out of their reserved spot by directly calling Al’s Towing, if they want to have the vehicle removed.
  • A derelict vehicle should not be left on property.  If derelict vehicles are noted, the resident/owner needs to demonstrate immediate plans to tow/remove the vehicle from property.  Any vehicles not removed promptly will be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.

Regards,
