2026 Snow Removal Plan

To all Owners and Residents:

The Westwood Village Condominium UOA established a snow removal plan with our contractor in October 2025.  This plan will be in effect during the inclement weather expected this weekend.

In case of inclement weather where 2+ inches of snow are expected, the snow team will work to push snow to the back of the property, using certain unreserved spots to drive snow away from the buildings and away from the front area of the property.  As a result, the following unreserved spots along the back of Northern Neck Drive will NOT be available when we implement the snow plan:

Unreserved spots – 88, 89, 90, 102, 103, 104, 105, 127, 128, 216 and 217

Rod (our groundskeeper) will be placing cones and starting to block the spots listed above once we indicate the Snow Plan has been implemented.

Given the large amount of snow forecasted for late Saturday/Sunday this weekend, the Board expects the Snow Plan to be activated Friday afternoon.  Any cars parked in these unreserved spaces after 12pm on Saturday will be towed to allow the Snow crew to execute our plan.  We appreciate that parking is limited already, but this plan is necessary to ensure (1) Emergency Vehicles have access to buildings, (2) residents can resume daily activities as soon as possible, and (3) shrubs, bushes and grass are not damaged by the weight of snow mounds where possible.

Given the forecast, we also plan to pretreat the community (streets/sidewalks/stairs).  As a reminder, salt buckets are available at the top of each building’s steps.  Please use that salt on the stairs, when necessary.

We will update this messaging later this week, as we get closer to the forecasted storm.  Be advised that timing of activities are subject to change.  Please check back to stay up-to-date.

Kind regards,

WWV CUOA
