To All Residents/Owners –
Please be advised of the following updates and reminders for the community this November:
- Thermostat Settings: As the temperatures grow colder, please make sure that you are keeping your thermostat at a minimum of 68°F. If you plan to be off property this fall/winter for significant periods of time, please make sure that you have adjusted your thermostat accordingly. Additionally, identifying someone locally who can check on your unit from time-to-time or respond to emergencies is important.
- Hallway Heaters: The UOA is planning to turn on hallway heaters over the next two weeks, as temperatures are expected to stay cold starting around November 13th. We will announce once the heaters are on.
- Pest Control: The UOA has noted an increase in reports of rodent activity in certain sections of the property. The UOA already has performed preventative perimeter sealings and treatments in areas where activity has been reported. To help avoid any entry into your unit, we recommend getting your unit checked. If you would like a free inspection of your unit by a pest control professional, please feel free to make a general inquiry to Capitol Management through the website. The UOA will then arrange for a free inspection. The inspection will highlight entry points both internally and externally, specific to your unit that should be sealed by the unit owner.
- Ashgrove House Lane Lights: The Condominium UOA and Townhomes HOA advised JBG, owner of the Sheraton Premiere Property, that their lights on Ashgrove House Lane are out. They have sent a contractor out to address this and are still troubleshooting the issue. We will continue to follow-up with them until this is resolved. Since we do not own the lights/property, the Westwood Village Community cannot address ourselves unfortunately.
- November Board Meeting: The last Board Meeting for 2026 will be held on Tuesday, November 17th (7-8:30pm) in the Clubhouse. This meeting is very important as it will cover the following:
-
- 2027 Budget and Related Condo Fee Assessment Discussion
- Various Resolutions that will update or create new requirements for 2027
- Snow Removal Plans to help residents understand parking spaces that will be unavailable when inclement weather is forecasted
-
Kind regards,
WWV CUOA
