To All Owners and Residents –
July Board Meeting Reminder – July 21st
The previously announced July Board meeting will take place, as scheduled, at 7pm on Tuesday, July 21st in the Clubhouse.
Building Trim and Siding Maintenance – July 21st
On July 21st, weather-permitting, a contractor will be on property fixing building trim damage caused by a woodpecker, primarily along Leeds Castle Drive. Additionally, the contractor will replace missing siding that has come off in recent storms throughout the property. We apologize for the noise.
Saturday (July 18th) Thunderstorm
Please be advised that the recent thunderstorm this past Saturday night was quite powerful. It knocked out power briefly, tripping many building fuse boxes, especially those covering Ashgrove House Lane, Leeds Castle Drive, and the back of Northern Neck Drive. This wreaked havoc on the building call boxes, including loud buzzing/beeping noises coming from the call boxes as well as offline call boxes.
While the UOA reset all of the building fuse boxes within approximately 1-2 hours after the storm ended, we are aware of at least 2 call boxes that may require further maintenance. We will be checking the entire property today again to determine any call boxes that have not fully restored.
Given the age of the call boxes, extreme weather can cause outages and malfunctions. As a reminder, all owners were issued building front door keys. Owners and residents should not be solely reliant on the call boxes to enter the buildings. The resident should have a building key on them at all times to prevent any issues entering the buildings. Unfortunately, a resident building lockout due to an offline call box is not considered an emergency by property management. Therefore, they may not immediately respond, especially after hours or over the weekend.
If you are an owner and cannot locate a building key, we recommend that you call Capitol Management and make an appointment. Capitol Management will allow you to borrow a master building key to make an immediate copy and return the key.
If you are a renter and never received a key from your owner, please call your owner or property agent per your lease to ensure they provide you the building key.
