A few quick announcements for consideration:
Clubhouse Access Card Verification – Please do not forget to complete and submit the required form to ensure your Clubhouse Access Card migrates to the new system. All forms must be received by August 12th or the cards will be deactivated. Please see the July 21st Announcement for further details, including the link to the form.
Wasp Nests – The community historically has had wasp nests form in the summer on the backside of property near the Townhomes. Unfortunately, we have seen a significant number of nests behind Buildings 1531, 1537, 1541, and 1547 on Northern Neck Drive this year. The nests are on the ground, look like piles of dirt all around the sidewalk behind the buildings, and are currently being treated. We recommend staying away from this area when walking as we work to treat the nests.
Sheraton Tysons Drive – The Condominium UOA and Townhomes HOA have been monitoring Sheraton Tysons Drive, the road behind Walmart, for quite some time. Since March, we have seen an increased number of delivery trucks and other vehicles parking in drive lanes, including unhooked trailers, for multiple days. Additionally, delivered goods for Walmart have been left on pallets in the street when the delivery bays are full. We have engaged with Fairfax County, including the Hunter Mill District Office, in hopes of bringing visibility to improper use of the road. Currently, the UOA and HOA are the only ones contributing any funding to maintain the road, as Fairfax County has deemed it a private road. Ultimately, we have asked VDOT to accept the road into their maintenance program to ensure all appropriate parties are covering maintenance, including snow removal. We will continue to update you as we work to resolve this.
