Westwood Village – Important Maintenance Activities

To All Owners / Residents:

Clubhouse Access System

The new clubhouse access control system will be installed on Wednesday, October 7th.  Clubhouse access may be temporarily unavailable at intermittent times during the transition.  We appreciate your patience while this upgrade takes place.

Westwood Village Community Paving
The HOA and UOA will soon begin a significant community-wide asphalt project covering both HOA and UOA areas throughout Westwood Village.
The work will include:
  • Milling and installing new asphalt;
  • Scraping and repainting yellow curbs;
  • Re-striping and stenciling parking spaces; and
  • Re-striping and stenciling the parking spaces on Ashgrove Lane outside the community.

Because of the size of the project, the work will be completed in phases.  Please note the community impacts and look for posted signs in the Buildings and throughout the community to follow:

October 12-13 – The Townhomes HOA will pave their areas of the Westwood Village community, weather-permitting.  On October 13th, the Townhomes HOA will re-stripe and re-stencil the parking spaces on Ashgrove House Lane outside of the community.  This will cover all of the Townhomes AND Condo parking spaces immediately outside of the gate.  No parking is permitted in those Condo parking spaces from 6am – 7pm on October 13th.  Please monitor the announcements for any weather-related delays.

During October 12th and 13th, Townhome residents also will be permitted to park in UNRESERVED Condominium parking spaces and Shared Visitor spaces during the day.

October 19, 20, and 21 – The Condominium UOA will pave our side of the community.  No vehicles will be permitted in the daily work zone each day from 6am to 8pm.   A work zone map will be placed in each building and updated real-time through website announcements for any weather impacts.  We ask that residents try to limit visitors to property during those days, given limited parking options for residents.  While we have been looking for other nearby parking solutions, there is no guarantee these businesses will assist us.  Since 100% of the community will be impacted over the course of this paving, there are no spots where a car can be left during the duration of the paving project.  If you will be out-of-town the week of October 19th, please do not leave your car on property.

October 22 and 23 – The Condominium UOA will pave Ashgrove House Lane from the gate area back to the Townhomes HOA property line.  No vehicles will be permitted to park on Ashgrove House Lane either day from 6am to 8pm during the paving process.  A work zone map will be placed in each building and updated real-time through website announcements.

Additional details will be posted specifically related to the Condominium UOA paving later this week.  Maps and drive lanes will be clear to ensure all residents know how to enter/exit the community throughout the paving.

We appreciate your cooperation and consideration of roadway closures during this period.

IMPORTANT – ROADWAY CLOSURE MEANS NO VEHICLES, PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLES OR ANIMALS
During the designated asphalt work and curing period, closed roadways must remain completely free of traffic. No vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, or animals may enter a closed roadway until the Associations, or their contractors confirm that it has reopened.
Residents may use the brick sidewalks, but both residents and their pets must remain completely off the roadway. Please plan alternate routes, including alternate access points to the Ashgrove Trail if that is where you are headed.
Fresh asphalt can be damaged if it is driven, walked, or ridden on before the roadway is officially reopened. Vehicles, pedestrians, bicycles, and pets must remain off newly paved areas until access is restored.  Any Owner or Occupant whose negligence, misuse or neglect damages the new asphalt may be responsible for the Associations’ actual cost to repair or restore the damaged area.  Depending on the damage, these costs could be substantial.
The Associations and their contractors will monitor the work areas and enforce towing and roadway-closure requirements. Owners are responsible for ensuring that their vehicles, occupants, guests and service providers comply.
